Pathological condition- Give me your views/diagnoses
Just to show that we are veterinary people, I post these pixs of an adult Barbados Black Belly Sheep that suffered from the Malaysian No.1 complaint( FOUND DEAD):
Note the nature and amount of fluid in the thoracic cavity, and the parietal surface of the lungs
Exposing the cardia and the mediastinum ( how I love the word.."blur" in my student days)You may email/post your comments to our blog. DR TW
How old was the animal? Is there mild lung consolidation? I think there are pneumonia (I think it is quite mild grossly, if any) and pleurisy. Could possibly due to some viral infection which then led to bacterial (possibly Manhemmia Haemolytica) infection? Is the petechial haemorrhage on the heart of any concern? Also, the presence of pleural effusion could suggest that there is some kind of infection going on. I look forward to seeing other comments. Cheers!
